History
For few years Radana ranch was growing at the family farm at Chotovice near Nový Bor, but found its roots only after the purchase of the house in the village Veselé u Děčína, a beautiful place in the North of Bohemia, situated right in the lovely scene of the protected landscape area of České Středohoří. Since she was a child the owner Petra Svejkovská was engaged in various jockey clubs. She bought her first horse at the time of her first employment – a beautiful full blood brown mare named Radka, enjoying a good health in her 28 years of age now, happily running on grasslands as she already retired from competing.
Breeding was based on purchase of the paint breeding stock mare Maryllin Breeze that is going to deliver the sixth foal this year, whereas her daughter named Mystery Black Jewel will deliver the third foal this year. Last year, for the first time ever, Petra was involved in Paint Show at Horka na Moravě, with 3-year mare named Lady of Blue Dreams from her own breed. In the category of 3-year mares halter she won first position and ended up second as Grand Champion. She also won first position in amateur trail competition, fifth position in open trail competition, fifth position in showmanship, fourth position in amateur pleasure discipline and seventh position in pleasure open.
For training purposes we have a covered riding arena with a diameter of 17 meters (under construction) and open riding arena 50×20 meters. In future we would like to participate in western competitions, but still we are mainly interested in breeding of premium horses (Paint Horse breed) because of their excellent nature and versatile sporting abilities.
